Nothing happens after gameguard goes away

first it told me to install directX sdk, so i did, now when i hit start, gameguard loads then nothing happens, sro doesnt come up

and im also getting the ???? page but its saying my OS is windows 98, and its not, its windows xp home, is that a reason why its not working?

i dont know how to see my comp specs or update my drivers so if thats the problem someone please tell me how to do it

Well looks like the registry files is reading an older version of software ...
Ok in simple terms .. ur operating system is being read as 98.

START > RUN > DXDIAG and post the screen shot of it.
