The Real ??????? Error Solution

Post by kumori »

Ok, if you have an error that looks like

Image

1. Make sure your directX is at version 9 or higher
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

2. Download this
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

3. Make sure you update your graphic card/drive

- Intel Graphic Card (I use this, but if u use some other graphics card than plz update that)
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloa ... n&lang=eng

O yea, this does not work, at all.

Code: Select all

If you're running Windows 2000 or higher, goto the SilkRoad folder on your computer and find the 4 EXE files there. Right click on each one and set compatibility mode to Win98/ME and try running the game as normal. There is no need to mess with the language settings on the computer. Please post only if after doing this for the error you still have problems.

Happy Silkroading, Kumo

Well IMHO, i was u .. i wouldnt b posting the link for the driver... there are people who tend to download the driver .. and if this is incompatible can mess up the computer....

Its always safe to download or update the driver from the official website based on the make of the video card (VGA Card or display adapter).

So mods, can you edit or remove the driver link please.
Cheers,
Truez

If your talking about the Intel driver its for people who have intel extreme graphics, am pretty sure it's just an update.

Truez means, some people that dont actually know about their graphix drivers version/company, may install the driver, thinking that it will fix the problem, when they only stuff their pc up even more... So i do Recommend you remove that link so no-one's pc has to get sent to the repair shop all because you posted a driver which isnt for their graphix card... :)
