I can play, then I cannot

First of all I can not use the main silk road website every when ever i try to use the forums or log in it exits me to the main web site screen.
Then...
I got the download and made my account on another computer and I was able to play but now and then I get this message and I cannot access the game
"Silkroad Online
The server is undergoing inspection or updates. Connect to http:silkroadonline.net for more information."
I know that this is not true becuase friends via Ventrilo/instant messenger confirm with me that the servers are up. And I will recieve this message at least once a day and it may last from 1 hour to 5 hours. Help would greatly be appreciated
