Dial up and disconnections

Hi, I'm looking at playing SRO but I'm not sure if it's playable on my connection. Right now (for the next month or so), I'm stuck on a dial up ISP which disconnects every two hours, so I was wondering if SRO is playable on this connect?

Thanks for any help.

u sould be able to play but the lag will be terible. its bad enough for a 2Meg connection yet alone for a 56k. also u will be haveng truble conecting to the servers since thay are always full and the ones with the fast connections can get a place in faster than somone with low connection bandwith

in theory tho u can play like u can play eny other online game with a low connection since the only thisng that cets transferd is mostly text and very small sized files

Just confirming everything that was said before. I had to play on dial up for about 2 months... :banghead: it was terrible, but possible.

You do learn to compensate for the lag though. Activating skills before you get into contact with the mob, etc. But being into town is the worst.

Still, if it was playing Silkroad on a 56k, or not playing at all, i know what i'd pick. :D

Well I was planning to play on a quiet server (I'm not THAT social, but like the idea of wandering round a word and exploring), so I'm not exactly going to the largest horde of players in history areas.

I'll probably play a bow thief and hang around back routes and such. Should be much quieter that way and also avoid idiots..

Any way, thanks for the help guys, nice to know I can play.
