sorry, if there is a topic about that..
well my problem:
there was a time when SO worked just fine, but now when i try to execute the game tru the launcher nothing happens (and i dont have a clue what caused the change)... in task manager i see that "silkroad.exe" appears for a few seconds..and dessapears.. gameguard doesnt start..
i tried reinstalling the game - doesnt help.
i tried to run directly sro_clien.exe, first time it updates the gameguard and then it tells me "Please Execute the Silkroad.exe" - wich just doesnt work.
so, any ideas???

I have simmilar problem, but I never was able to run - I just downloaded yesterday. My pc is athlon 2k+, 1gb ram, windows 2003, fresh install, nod32 antivirus. Game just won't start.

Could it be corrupt download or should installer detect it is corrupt??

man i feel ur pain im a new guy never got to experience the game i want to play argggg i get the same problem though

romzzz.. its good you tried reinstalling.. something unusual must have happened. i would suggest reinstalling windows and sro totally.
esp because your computer did manage to run it before.
