VERY confused about account...

I have a question. When logging into the official silkroadonline site, are my account and password there the same as the account and password I use to log into the game? Becuase when I entered my password on the site, it said it was wrong but my id was right. And then it blocked me for entering and incorrect password 3 times, and I was blocked from the game as well. so, WHY THE HELL DOESN" THE PASSWORD THAT GETS ME INTO THE GAME GET ME INTO THE SITE?

I had a website ID & PW different from my game login. my game login doesn't work now, but I can get in as my website login. & none of my characters exist anymore in the game. the website also says to make a character. anybody else have this happen?
