After a long struggle of updates and downloads im finally able to get it going. The trick is as soon as it starts up it freezes right before or at the cinematic . The farthest i have gotton is create a character, can anyone shed some light on this?

try dropping the graphics settings to minimum perhaps, update your drivers, and kick your computer, that always works

ive done all of the updates and everything that needs to be done and it still wont work

maybe your computer just cant meet up with the system requirements

Hard to guess at things while not seeing them

Best thing is to have everything

-Cleaned with ad-aware program
-Drivers and bios up to date
-Least ammount of software in the background

No real explenation why it would get that far and just 'quit'

ok i'll turn down his resolution, i didnt even think of it before.

but when he clicks start the screen that comes up that just says silk road and has a picture before you go to the log in screen, takes up the entire screen, mine only takes up something like a 2'' by 5'' box.

so maybe it is the resolution.....
