Ok, so I had the runtime error and I fixed that. Then I updated my graphics driver. I have a geforce 4. I have the lastest directx and I don't even know what to do anymore.

Here's a screenshot of my problem.

damn lol. Looks a little solarized :P lol jk, if it's doing that, it can't calculate a realtime solarize effect lmao. Hmm well it's running in 8 bit graphics mode or maybe 256. If the rest of your computer isn't doing that, that's really weird but you should go into the control panel in SRO and turn up the texture quality and whatever else is in there (and turn shadows off completely, no computer on earth can render those the way they coded them lol) and it may go back to normal. If that doesn't help, go find silkroad.exe in c:/program files/silkroad and right click on it and click properties and on the compatability tab make sure "run in 256 colors" is unchecked. If the rest of your computer IS like that, then right click on the desktop and click properties and on the settings tab change it to the highest graphics mode available. If there are no higher modes available, someone ate your graphics driver and you need to re-install it. Find out what kind it is, go to the maker's website, and find a driver for it :)

I pasted this in paint so that's probably why the colors are like that.

Hurrah I got a better picture.

omfg! hold on lemme stop swearing and laughing....okay well that's a bitch. I think your card hit its polygon/vertex limit or isn't fully compatible with DirectX 9. Either way, you prolly need a new one. I think the FX5500 runs Directx 9 and is pretty cheap but wow does it suck. Get a fully Directx 9 compatibly 6200 for a whopping $30

or if you're feeling daring, the 256 MB version from eVGA (better company) for like $55

or if you're rich, the 7600GS for $120

All them are AGP which I assume your graphics card interface is since all 4 series cards are AGP except the really crappy regular PCI ones.

Well the only reason I'm using my geforce 4 is because my 6800 blew up basically. I kinda figured that it's my graphic card. Thank you for the help! :)
