Replacer.exe

I uninstalled SRO then downloaded the setup file again from the official website now when I try to update it the patching failes because Replacer.exe is corrupted and gives an error code [193].

Anybody know how to get around this or solve it? I tried manually patching, didn't work.. tried deleting all joymax/silkroad registry entries then reinstalling, didn't work. I've also tried different setup files downloaded from different locations, still get the same error.

If anyone can maybe send me their .exe file pm me, or msg me on xfire (rockshmo). Thanks.

http://members.cox.net/ddchen. Go into the Silkroad Troubleshooting Guide or just scroll down on the main page to the bottom where there's a section about replacer.exe.

if U look in the SRO directory and replacer.exe is there, there's about a 99% chance that your antivirus is norton and it's using it's stupid ass script blocking to prevent one exe file from altering another, which is exactly what replacer.exe does. Turn off all antivirus programs and you'll be fine.
