Ok, so i know this is supposed to be for SRO help, but the fraps site is utterly useless, and has basically no support at all, so help me out if you can.

basically, fraps won't work for me. i installed it a while back, tested it out, and it worked fine. hadn't used it since then, but wanted to today. and it won't work.

when i open the game, there SHOULD be a framerate counter in the corner(it's not disabled). it's not there. i can't record videos, or take screenies with it. basically, it's like it's not even running, though it clearly is(it's not even minimized).

so, i tried the basic stuff, restarted pc, reinstalled fraps, even tried a different version of it, no luck. reinstalled my version, still not working. then i tried playing with options. tried all framerates, half-size, full-size, no audio, etc. i tried just about everything i could think of.

basically, i have no idea why it wouldn't be working since it WAS working before, and i hadn't messed with it at all since. any ideas?

EDIT :: oh, and i've also done some scans for malware and viruses, etc. that didn't help either *sigh*

Posible the trial ran out?

no, it's the registered version, so that's not it. it also doesn't give me any message about the trial being out like the trial version would.

I have this problem with Fraps too, it used to work but now it doesn't and yet it works on all of my other games, very weird.

Possibly one of the updates and/or the game protection software disables it.
