Problem proceeding to game

Im trying to play Silkroad on my labtop right now but I am having trouble. I can start it and login but once I get to the character selection Silkroad immediately stops responding then my computer will completely freeze.
I am running on a Windows Vista Home Premium

1024MB SDRAM
160GB HDD
