Keylogger is a spyware. With Zone Alarm you are safe for sure.

It's a bit dangerous to think that you're completely safe just because you have zone alarm, or any piece of software for that matter. Security through obscurity is simply not that secure.

I don't trust antiviruses to remove things... especially norton, seems every time it finds something it struggles to remove it.. and fails,

what i would do if i found a keylogger? format c:

I'm not so sure about that. I guess it depends on the firewall. From my experience, which I'll admit is limited in the firewall department, generally firewalls will allow outbound traffic unless you specifically configure rules against it. One exception is software firewalls, like Zone Alarm, that you install on your computer (as opposed to a hardware firewall)

The problem I find with software firewalls like zone alarm, is often times the user doesn't know how to use it properly. I've had several cases where I've set it up for friends or family, tell them how to use it, and they will either 1.) call me for EVERY "this process is trying to connect" dialog, or 2.) approve every single thing because they don't want to break anything.[/b]

Zonealarm AV sucks. Your going ot want to pick up kaspersky, or Avira. Avira being the best known free one, kaspersky being the best know paid one. Kaspersky catch about 98% (norton gets about 60% :|), and avira catches about 85-90%. Those numbers are from various internet sites.
