Silkroad Online Forums

Hey there
Am totally new to both: Forum and game aswell..
Unfortunaitly am facing a little problem with SilkRoad running..


I succefly downloaded silkroad from silkroadonline.net "download section"
then succefly Installed..
every thing went so well that i knew something would come wrong
and it happened..

here is the thing:
When i hit the run button, and the window shows options, guide, movie, START succefly appears BUT when i hit the Start button...
a strange "maybe for me" Error appears.. here is what is says:

Note: i copied.pasted it; easier than Screen shot :p

runtime error
program:E:\silkroad\sro_client.exe


This application has reqested the run time to terminate it in unusual way.
please contact the application's support team for more information
OK
then i hit the Ok button the microsoft window appears:

Sro_client.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. we are sorrry for the inconvenience.



If you were in middle of something. the information you were working on might be lost.

Tell microsoft....bla bla bla...
here is the important part:

Then i click here, a window pops up:

error signature:
AppName: sro_client.exe.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: gfxfilemanager.dll
ModVer: 1.0.0.7 Offset: 0002106c



That's it... afterwards it shuts down, and same happens when i try to re-open..

I would really be greatful for you if anyone helped me out in working this out..
Note: i have looked around the Technical Help section but its toooo long to read all at one time"30 pages of Topics oO ", i've read about 5 pages : first 3 and last 2

the only thing i can do to help is go to silkroadonline.net and go to bug report.
write them everything you just posted and tell them your computer info like. Windows and how much space is in it and stuff like that and they shoud send you an email on which ever account ur signed on. make sure your email that u use for the game is the same as wen u sign on so silkroad can send you what they can do to help. well thats all i know
hopefullly i could find more out.


but if u dont want to do that then this is second option
this works for sure but not recommended if your computer has important saved files

wat you do is reboot your computer and delete everything and start fresh as if the computer was brand new then install internet and install silkroad then download Direct X 9.0 before downloading silkroad. well that works for sure but not recommended for you to do unless you have no important files on the fone
