when you say uninstall

did you mean GG or sro?
if not go delete all your GG files then start sro to update
it happened to me once and it worked...hope it works for you if that is the problem

Does no one know what a registry key is. You'll need to remove GG and SRO from the registry.

I too was getting the same error code,so i unistalled the game completely.Upon re-installing it i receive a msg saying "The server is in examination or out of working time.Connect http://www.silkroad.co.kr to see more information".

So i try to visit it but my browser conveniantly cannot find it lol, just my luck.

So...the darn thing wont update at all and im stuck with the 1.006 version , which obviously i cannot play lol, any ideas would be appreciated.

Oh and btw i really really dont wanna have to re-install windows again :banghead: .

Modify HOSTS:
Open HOSTS File with notepad (C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts)
Delete everything and change it to:
127.0.0.1 localhost
121.128.133.26 gwgt1.joymax.com
121.128.133.26 gwgt1.joymax.co.kr
64.152.34.142 joymaxnpro.nefficient.com

Then:
XP SP1:
1. In Control Panel, double-click Networking and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.
2. Right-click the connection on which you want to disable ICF, and then click Properties.
3. On the Advanced tab, click to clear the Protect my computer or network check box.

XP SP2:
1. Click Start, click Run, type Firewall.cpl, and then click OK.
2. On the General tab, click "Off (not recommended)", and then click OK.
