Hey all.

I'm having toruble getting some character textures and pretty much all background textures to appear in game. I've updated all my drivers, etc. and still no luck. I've played Silkroad before and gotten it to work, but I can't remember what I did then >.<

Here are my specs:

nVidia Gefore FX Go 5650
1.7 GHz M Intel Processor
1.5 Gigs of RAM

Thanks for your help!

Have you changed any settings on your video card or SRO that might of caused that to happen, or changed your video card altogether? Try playing around with your video card settings and/or the silkroad settings. It could also be a compatibilty issue with the videocard if it's new.

Do you mean that this happened before, and you got it to work, or it worked right away?

Your specs seem pretty good, so that's definately not the issue.

Also how long does this last? Does it stay for 5+ minutes? Because it usually happens to me when I start up the game in the town. Takes a bit to load all the skins and armors and a lot of stuff looks like some shiny black armor, but then it shows up after about a minute or so depending on the lag.

*bumps this thread up*

I have the same problem. I just recently (yesterday) upgraded my AGP video card from a 16mb TNT2 to a 128mb FX5200. My drivers are all updated, and all other games seem to work all right. With my old vidcard, I could see all the skins and what not ok, it just lagged like crazy because it didn't actually meet the minimum requirement of the game (hence the upgrade).

I'm running Windows XP on a Pentium 4 1300MHz + 384mb RAM.

It's mostly a problem with the character/mob skins I think. I can't see any... but my equiptment and the environment are very well detailed. It's similar to what Stallowned described with the the crowded town, but it doesn't fade away with time. I've played around with both the game settings and my vidcard settings, to no avail. I even reinstalled the game, thinking that was the problem.

Any ideas? Help would be very much appreciated. :(

Try downgrade your gfx drivers. If you use Nvidia geforce downgrade to version 78.01 (runs Silkroad, Final Fantasy XI and Water Margin) perfectly for me.

Did you remember to update your Direct X when you updated your graphic drivers as well?
