Ok so i got all the update and everything works fine, I log in and play the game for a while, then i got disconnected.
When i tried to log back this happens:

This is the screen when i clicked on the sro icon:

It looks normal right?

So I clicked on the START button, now this happens:

I got that error message and SRO crashed or i dont think it even loaded, it happened fast and all i see left is that error message. And i dont even know why it says windows 98 when i got windows xp pro.

I clicked the 2nd button and it closed down.

Happened each time i tried to run SRO

I tried to restart my computer same thing happened.

I tried to reinstall SRO, same thing happened.

BTW same thing happened on my other computer, the laptop that i used with my stall character to sell stuff. Exactly same error msg but diff computer hardware of course.

Now i dont know wth to do except for waiting the replies on this thread.
Thanks for reading.

I dont know if this helps anything, but here is my SRO folder:

this was after a complete uninstall (including deleting the remaining files), then a reinstall of the basic sro file (the one with over 500 MB), then a live direct update with the sro startup client.

i fixed it :D

all you do is go into the silkroad folder, right click on the "sro_client" go properties then on the top tab go to compability then if not tick the box for "run this program in compability mode for": and go down and select "windows 98/me" and done...now do the same for the silkroad laucher.

Well hope this helps you guys cause it fixed mine :P
