help with my lag problem... plz....

hello guys. We reccently bought a new computer and i was excited about finally playing silkroad at home, coz i always play at internet cafes then. We have a broadband connection. I am not a computer or internet whiz so i dont have any knowledge about network stuff.
I always get lag problems during 9am to 11pm... I assume that my lag problem is caused by slow internet connection and i always curse my isp becoz of this, coz i know i dont have a problem with my pc specs. coz when i play silkroad from 12am to 9am(
yes... this is the only time that i play since i dont get lag/delay problem ) i can set the graphics to middle and have a smooth game. SO IS THERE ANOTHER WAY OF IMPROVING MY INTERNET CONNECTION ASIDE FROM CALLING MY ISP AND CURSE THEM??? Sorry about how i write this post, i hope its easy to understand.

Well the problem is that you probably live in america and those are the times most americans are on. So there is nothing you can do about it :p Excvept to the best country in the world "Australia"

Internet cafes have SUPER SUPER fast broadband !! Like fastest in country :p Well i dunno then maybe lots of SP people play or something :p

Do as i do, sleeping time 9am to 11pm, playing time 9pm to 11am

not enough playing time for me... i want to play whole day coz ive just restarted and made a new character coz my first character(lvl40) was a bad build... and i want this solved before compensation event... so plz someone help me... wat about tweaking? ive read about this but i dont understand.. its like chinese to me.

Internet Connection Tweaking is when u DON'T CLICK on ads that say "Your internet connection could perform faster, please click here".
Try to disable every program that could be abusing ur "broadband", like skype, eDonkey or other p2p networks, or even IM soft, those used to kill my line some time ago.

yah this "broadband" sucks... i envy my friends who plays at home using wifi they say its much faster and they dont experience lag. I cant immediately switch to wifi coz i have 1 yr contract from this broadband connection.

lol NEVER take contracts is my rule. Service is excellent for a whil but then....... You know the story :p Yer turn off all file shaing stuff that helped me :p

I tried playing once on two pcs: one had ADSL line, other was connected via wireless network to the first one and used the same shared DSL connection. Funny thing was that when i connected sro on one pc, i was not able to connect on the other and vice verse. Only late at night i managed to connect both clients but got dc after 10mins

plz i really need help... In 5 days my new character is now lvl28 so by the time event starts that should help me level up to 35 i think...

i did bandwidth test with my connection...
i tested it many times. and get results ranging from 200-300 kbps... is that ok? is it slow? i dont know.. lolz im not good at this
