that's really odd. I don't suppose any other programs have the same symptoms? Also check with Nvidia.com (nowhere else) to find the exact latest driver but most likely that's not the problem. First just make sure shadows are turned completely off in the game cuz Joymax really screwed that up. I'd say most likely is a ram shortage or spyware/viruses. First start the game and get to the lovely opening boat thingy and then minimize the game with windows key + d or alt-tab to the task manager (the ctrl-alt-del thingy) and on the performace tab look for Physical Memory and see if Available is 30000 or more. If it's not, you're low on memory. You can try closing any other unecessary programs to free up as much as possible and see if that helps. If U do have plenty of ram, check to see if the processor usage is constantly at 100% or if it's above like 10% for a good long while while you're just sitting there staring at the desktop with no windowed programs running at all. If so, something on your computer is really inefficient and the programmer should be shot or you have something bad on there. Spybot search and destroy is awesome at getting rid of bad stuff as well as ad-aware SE (both free at download.com) and Avast is the best antivirus invented to date and it's free so ditch yours for that one :P Oh and I almost forgot, if you have a filesharing program running ESPECIALLY Limewire, that's using your connection too much and making you lag. Make sure anyhting else that uses the internet heavily isn't running while the game is.

the 6100 is an integrated video card right? Try increasing the amount of RAM allocated to the videocard. The setting is usually found in the BIOS. Make it 128 minimum since you have lots of RAM.

ohhhhhh bet that's one of those turbocaching cards, didn't think of that. Yeah increasing the memory to it in BIOS isn't a bad idea unless you only have 512 MB of RAM, in which case it might not be the best idea to increase it to like 128. But if you want to try it, it should be under something like Shared Video Memory in the BIOS.

Yeah thats integrated, tbh i think you should consider upgrading by buying a new graphics card. The 7600gt would be greast for now. Please tell me how you have a 3.2ghz amd cpu, or have you just oc'ed it to hell and what kind of cooling do you have?

My bet is that it's an A64 3200 (2GHz), which confuses alot of less familiar people.
