Yes im desperate now, i tried reinstalling, deleting gameguard folder, and it keeps saying gameguard file doesnt exist or is altered or something, then the game wont load, please any advices? i want to play badly, i was so inspired today and that thing ruined it, please i posted this before and nobody answered i beg that somebody atleast post an idea

is that the reinstall delete of gameguard or sro entirely? if not, do it with sro entirely. and turn off firewalls when you start sro

i deleted gameguard folder, then reinstalled the game, and still happening =(

yeah i think i wont be abe to play again, look, i downladed the client again, installed it and played for about 20 mins, i had to go, came back and "gameguard blah blah" the only thing i did was RRArARAGAHHGHGH really loud, but that wont help, if i cant play sro anymore im going to kill myself, my freaking life is miserable

i have Ad-Aware but i never use it, how do i disable it?

aww i guess i will be quitting sro?! =( im downloading spybot search and destroy and AVG antivirus i hope these programs fix the problem, ppl plz help!! i want to play silkroad

ok, its official, im quitting sro, nobody is willing to help and it wont work, i downloaded AVG antivirus and it screwed my comp now i cant even run silkroad.exe, and i cant even run the freaking antivirus, this is it, until i get new comp im out of silkroad.

lol sounds like that's your problem right there. If U delete the gameguard folder, it'll say it doesn't exist....but after a complete reinstall of SRO with gameguard exactly the way it is when it first installs, turn off any protection programs at all. It sounds almost definitely like you have Norton because it uses this complete dumbass invention called script blocking where it tries to determine when programs are being bad and stops them. It's about as intelligent as a monkey picking out wallpaper though and it blocks good programs that aren't doing anything wrong way more often (kinda like airport security) For it to work for 20 mins then suddenly say gameguard got altered, I'd say it's about a 99.999999% chance that some sort of antivirus program blocked it. Turn every protection program off and see if it works then. If it does, find some sort of safe list feature in the program and add gameguard's executable file to it and it should leave it alone from then on.

tried reinstalling after deleting the folder so, gameguard IS there but anyways i wont play sro until my comp gets formated
