Silkroad Online Forums

Whenever i try to log into silkroad online i get the error message " Invalid Id or password" , except the weird thing is i can log into the forums. Now, i havent played SRO in months, would someone please informs me of what has happened recently that could've triggered this error?

Nah, i tried it with caps lock and without and it still wont work .

yea i had that problem, about 10 minutes later i found out i was hacked

it's unlikely but possible that your password field in their master database got altered/corrupted/deleted/whatever so try the account recovery thingy on their website and it should reset it ingame and on the forums.
It's much more likely though that your computer is blocking either incoming or outgoing infomation for the port that you send the data on, since of course the forum uses port 80 for the internet and the game uses some other one. The game would still launch because the loading page also uses port 80 I think because it loads it from a web database of recent updates but your password wouldn't work. It should technically say failed to connect to server but it's possible that it doesn't. If you have an internet filter, disable it and try disabling your antivirus and firewall temporarily and if the game works, enable one at a time to find out which is causing the problem. Whatever it is, there should be an option in any filter/virus/firewall program to ignore just one program and add SRO to that ignore list. Hopefully one of those things will help ya
