nProtect Gameguard update problem

Hi all
I have problem with nProtect Gameguard update. I can not donwload this software with my ADSL line and I have copied this software from my friend's computer but I can not run SilkRoad Online. Is there anyway to donwload nProtect Gameguard on my computer to make SilkRoad run as usual? Please show me a way.
I can download any software from the Internet without problem. I don't understand this situation.

blackrider:

make sure that your firewall isn't blocking access to the nProtect server. whenever GameGuard runs, it checks your current version against the most recent one on the server and downloads updates as needed. if it can't connect to the server, then it won't let you progress past that point.

Thans for your advice. I have turned off Windows XP SP2's firewall but I got nothing. The Gameguard started for a little bit and stopped. I couldn't update anything from the server, that's my problem.

I have had this problem. I recommend going into the silkroad folder (should be located in program files on your HD) and deleting the entire GameGuard folder; then start up silkroad again. When I did this, it reinstalled GameGuard and the correct updates.

I've deleted Gameguard folder inSilkRoad folder but I can not run gameguard. It just run for a while and stop and I can not update the gameguard.

Do this software require any thing for the Internet line, such as speed or something else? I don't know what is happening with my pc or gameguard. I also reinstall the SilkRoad but useless.

The problem alway is, the gameguard just run and stop and ask me to click the Retry button. This software is making me crazy.

Do anybody know what is npgmup.npz? I can not find this file on my friend's pc, he updated the gameguard without any problem. I copied the gameguard folder from my friend to my pc but I still can not find this file.

Help me plz!
