Ok, today I start up my computer and get on silkroad. It starts up I log in. I select my char press enter and get the ?????????? error IN THE FIRST SPLIT SECOND AFTER LOGGING ON . I think "ok no big deal." So I start up SRO again log in choose my char again and the same thing happens. I thought maybe the server is just messed or somthing. So later on throughout the day I tried to get on with the same result. Then finaly at the end of the day I decide to try using another comp to play and guess what? smooth log in with no ?????? error. So I was like oh it should work on my comp now so i logged on on my comp again and got the ??????? again. From this i gather that it is probly something to do with my computer. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

try updating your drivers to the ones in the launcher never again use the ones in the page since they ware old (this step is only if you have a nvidia or ati card )

Ok I have 2 graphics cards a nVidia GeForce 6800 and a 7800 GTX. I updated the 6800. Then I went and installed the driver for the 7800 GTX and it didnt show up on the device manager and the 6800 did.

Ehh you can only have one graphic card unless you are using a sli system but for those sli system you need 2 cards of the same model

Yeah I geuss so only have the 6800 (I need to get another one to SLI ). Anyways ya thats the one I updated and its not fixing the problem.

Ok I did a system restore and installed the latest driver update and it still gives me the ????? error

Pretty weird since my friend was having the same problem as you and after reinstalling the driver in the launcher worked fine ,anyway good luck i hope your problems fix soon.

I am having the exact friggin godd*mn problem. Since the update I have not been able to play this game, my gold ticket is being wasted.

As soon as I log in and Hotan appears to show the game closes and ????? comes up. I have an Nvidia 5600 FX and I've reinstalled the latest driver from Nvidia, reinstalled .NET framework 2 (which some claim fixed their problems), reinstalled SRO .... still can't play this game.

Well I managed to fix it after completely reinstalling Windows XP (dont worry I have like nothing on my computer ). Ya I basically did that and found updates for all my drivers.
