Time to Connect

How long does it take you guys to connect? Also, post the time (and time zone) and server that you usually connect. I'm so new to this game and I've left it on for an hour and I still don't connect.

I have a little paperweight on my "Enter" key; will this work?

Holding down "enter" does nothing since when you fail to connect it usually DCs you, and "enter" won't restart the connection process. I usually have no trouble late at night Mon-Thu, US eastern time. On the weekends it can take 10-15 minutes and usually isn't worth the trouble. For some reason it also takes a long time to get in during the morning and early afternoon on weekdays.

Troy is horrible all hours of the day (100x worse on weekends). The only time you can even hope to get on the first try is late at night or VERY VERY early in the morning. I heard xian is worse, I feel sorry for them

yea same with me I live in NY and I can connect within 20 minutes are 8pm and lata on

i can only log in with ease later in the night...

but typically... on a bad day... it takes me around 30 min - an hour to log in

really? an hour! wow that most I've ever taken to log on was aprox 18 minutes...

Hm. I play on Troy and I typically log in sometime between the afternoon (1500 Pacific), evening (1800 Pacific), and early morning (0400 Pacific). It rarely takes more than 5 minutes to log in, and in thoses cases I usually just do something else. I've had difficulty logging in earlier in the day (roughly noon Pacific). I think that's the time when the majority of European players are playing.

I have the following strategy for logging in: Enter my username and password, click connect, and then count off ten seconds if it fails before trying again. If you spam the connect button, most of the queries won't even be sent because the server is still processing your first one. It also puts extra stress on the login server. By the time the camera has panned over to the docks, you should have tried to connect only about two or three times.

Ahh, I figured out my error. For some reason, the "hitting enter" solution to the disconnect glitch didn't work. I had to install the Korean pack. Now, I can login within 4 or 5 retries. Thanks for all the replies!

Btw, I'm on Xian.

I dont know why you have so much trouble logging in...It usually takes me 1-2 tries to get on and I play at all times. Usually around 6-7 P.M. US Central time

First time logging in and it only took me 3 tries.
