I have Windows Vista Beta 2 (Build 5384) and have been trying to both install Silkroad Online and play it. So far, I have been able to get it to connect to nProtect GameGuard, but after this, either nothing happens or the computer crashes.
To get Silkroad that far, you have to go to
C:\Program Files\Silkroad
Right-Click the each of the executables in that folder and change their compatibility to 'Windows XP Service Pack 2' and tick the box at the bottom giving Administrator rights.
This will bypass the DirectX 9 requirement error the normally occurs when the launcher is loading. It will load nProtect and should complete the updateing of GameGuard, but disappears after this.
This is as far I have got so far, and I would just like to know if anyone has gone further, or has anyone got Silkroad Online successfully running on Windows Vista.

What are you implying?
[edit] Sorry, I get you now.... it's 1am here, not thinking right...
Yeah its okay..I was looking at it too after I posted, and im like...I would so take that as sarcasm...but it wasn't intended to be.
But it is true, not everyone is beta testing Vista, so when it does come out, and they have issues, your fix, might help them
