ok instead of being like everyone else and not being able to sign in due to updates or not being able to find a server due to too much traffic. i have to be original

i launch the game, click start, type my user id and password and connect to my server (Alps), click on my character, click start. that game loading screen comes up with a cool character in the photo, the loading bar fills up completely but that is all that happens. it will not go any farther. i left it at that screen for 5 hours and nothing changed. ctrl/alt/delete does nothing. it locks my system up totally, the only way to use my computer after that is to reset. i wondered if i was banned or something but i actually created a new char and was allowed to play. now i don't want to have to start all that way over again just to play this game. anyone have any ideas about how i can fix this problem? why am i allowed to sign on and log on but not to play?

Wherever your other character logged out could be messed up.

Try contacting a GM on your new character and taking this issue up with them. With any luck they'll be able to locate your character's logout point and tele him or somethin.

i already solved it but you are exactly right. i logged in town and the loading of all the graphics crashed my crappy computer. i got a friend with a better computer to log on and move me outside town. problem solved! i'm never logging out in a town again. thanks anyway.
