I htink this happens for a lot of people also.
Problem: I start the game. it loads, im playing. then 5 minutes later, i see a disconnect sign. i logg back in. 5 minutes later again. then antoehr 5 minutes. and it happens again.
i tried turnning off my firewall/anti virus etc. also gameguard loads so i dont think its gameguard kicking me out.
-anyone know why or a way to solve it.
-if this also happens to you plz say so.
-This is pissing me off cause im losing ticket time...arg

I have it to..
But it is only happening to me when I'm fighting monsters, I can stay in the city for as long as I want without the error, but as soon as I fight monsters I get the error every five minutes. Very annoying
Server:
Xian
Loosing: Silver ticket time, and about 15,000 exp points thru dying 2 times by a giant.
It's not my connection, nor my pc. Me and my brother have exactly the same computers, we share a Lan modem and he can play without troubles. I tried to play on my very new Laptop, and i get the same "Disconnected to server". He plays on my laptop, everything goes fine. PLEASE, fix it

Yeah its happening to me all the time too, i can only stay online for about 5mis atking mobs before it says "disconnected from server"
server is xian
I even tried re-formatting and installing winblows but it didnt help, i have updated all drivers (again) and even re-installed the client from scratch, tried turning the firewall off too........i dont really know what to do as iv tried everything i can think of
btw, this all started happening after Xian crashed a couple of days ago when i was playing, been happening ever since

after the fix, it still happens, but now only every 30-45 mins.
On every different computer in my home, and on my neighbours computer.

Discontinuity problem isnt your computer's problem, its your internet, and there serverside, depend on the location and what kind of internet you use, let me exatrate it, if you use a really really slow internet, everytime you gonna wait a long time before you send out a packet, a packet is just a bunch of codes to the server side, if your internet is slow, the rate of sending packet and recieving packet would be slow... how does the server know if u are disconnected or not? depend on your packet rate, im not sure about silkroad, i know ragnorok online's server dc rate is 1200ms, so if in 1200ms server did not recive your packet, it automaticly dc you.... ok, back to real life, so if you use high speed y does u still dc, it can be that the area you are in is expericing high internet traffic, etc, that your packet can not arrive to server in time, or, your internet provider is just plain *ahem*...
how can the server side prevent this... or why cant silkroad do anything about it... well, you know, server uses internet too, they have a limit of connecting how many people at every moment, or their cable would explode *well sorta*... , also you cant let server change the dc time, because if u are stalling, and your interenet provider is ... ing, and somebody wants to buy stuff from your stall, they pull, and press accept, and nothing happens lol, cuz server sends a packet to your client that somebody is buying, but you didnt respond, so server cant do anything... thats why you see dc people, and you msg them they dont respond, and soon, they vanishes...
all joymax can do is get a better server and better internet provider...
well, there are also client problems can cause this dc... thats due to your computer, too many causes, but really rare, unless ur comp is really slow

It is strange thought that my brother (Leipo) has the problem with the same computer and the same internet connection, while i dont. He has it on his own computer, but also on my computer.
When i try to play on his computer i have no dc error at all.
I might be a geek to computers but doesnt this blows youre speech away for this case?

router, a big factor, depending on your router's bandwidth atm too, also try get newer updates from microsoft, from your vc company, stuff like that.
also you can try this, turn one comp on, and one off, try if sro works or not, and then try the other comp, on the same traffic of sro. because router have sub net masks, that will also effect where the packets are going. my router have problem with bandwidth, if i have my ro server on and sro on, my sro will auto dc randomly, if you can, post wut ur comp's specs, and also if u are using xp, go to task maneger, list out the tasks that are started when your computer is started, and list out ur firewall, anti virus...
ps, i hate norton.... takes a cpu away on my dual core =_=...

Im sorry but it isnt the internet connection......you see as i said above he can play on both his PC and my PC (on his account) and can play fine. i cannot play on my account either on my PC or his PC therefore it has nothing to do with the internet connection or the router.
Thanks for trying to help, but i know a bit about PC's myself and this theory has already been tested

yes, since the patch last week, disconnected due to "network insecurity" is very very frequent.

this so hard for us pips who are using gt. it feels like spending money for nothing. our net connection here is not slow. our pcs' specs are good yet suffering from that F#ckn' DC.
