Alright iv read and gone over most of these few pages of ppl saying there game wont start and stuff and non have my problem.

I dled the game 4 times now installed restarted uninstalled... everytime Iv even done what other forums have said like changeing its compatibility to 95 or 2000 and it still wont open... it just sits there no matter how many times you click on it... I even gave it the manual update of the silkroad.com website... Iv dled it 2 times from silkroad.com 1 time from gamershell and 1 time from fileplanet and each time i have the same problem... I have a brand new alienware so i know its not my computer I have dled all the stuff off there website they say is needed and nothing has worked so far. Iv become irritated with this because I have 5 friends who have older computers that it works fine on and have no problems at all and my computer specs are better than theres. will someone help me plz?

yea... but everyone else seems to be able to play but me... iv had this problem for a week iv even added the game to my firewall list so it wouldnt be blocked because everyone thought that was the problem. Im starting to think its because I only have the 1.031 patch maybe if someone could post up the 1.051 patch it could possibly work but all they have to dl is the 1.031.

Right click on My Computer
Click Properties
Click Advanced
Under Performance click on Settings
Move to the Data execution tab
Tick the top box only turning it on for essential system settings.

It should now work fine!
