What are your computer specs?
Several things will slow it down, such as
- a fragmented or slow hard drive
- inadequate ram, video card, or processor
- other programs running and being resource hogs (example silkroad online)

Fraps is directly dependent with your screen resolution.
Try lowering screen resolution or use Half size movie in your fraps setting.

For "Full size" recording the maximum resolution size is 1152x864
1280x800 (widescreen) For "WIDESCREEN" computers.

How much space do you have left on your HDD? If you don't have enough space, Fraps lowers the framerate to compensate for this. Save some space by uninstalling SRO.
Oh wait.

i doubt its your computer setup because i have an athlon that runs 2.6ghz at stock and a 9800gtx+ 4gb of ram though. it must be software related the only hardware it could possibly be is you need more ram or your hard drive is starting to go bad or just no more space left.
