Ok so earlier today I was spending some time home at a friend when suddenly my browser stopped working, it was like the internet died but MSN and other internet required programs like Spotify and Voddler continued to work, so I just thought it was his internet at his place that were playing tricks on me, but when I came home for around 5 hours ago the problem is still there, surfing the internet works like 10-20 minutes after I have started the laptop but after that it just dies.
I've tried 3 different browsers(FF, Chrome, IE) and the same shit still occur. Scanning for virus havent helped a bit either.

I've searched google for help and I've tried everything I have found and it still doesnt work. It doesnt happen on my other computer, just on my beloved laptop

Anyone who knows what the problem may be? Dis shit drivin' me fuckin' crazy man.

Admin/Mods can lock this topic, it is a virus that is messing with me, it is now crashing my antivirus and alot of other random programs once in a while. Time to reformat this shitty laptop, going to lose my legal copy of XP and Adobe Master Collection CS3. :/

Not yet, tomorrow when I meet my dad I am going to borrow his XP cd.

if you want to try what works really well for me when working on virus infected comps is going into safe mode with networking and either see if you can download malwarebytes here: http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=5756 or download it from another computer and transfer the installer to install.

another thing for your browser problem check this

go to control pannel > internet options > connections > LAN settings > and make sure automatically detect settings is checked and nothing else.

The control panel thing didn't work, tried downloading the file in the link, it just comes down as 0kb, guess I have to download it on another computer when I got my usb stick around.

Well my problem wasnt a virus, it was avast that blocked my connection to my browser, I reinstalled windows and installed avast and the same shit happened, that was when I realized, downloaded AVG instead.
