SRO settings don't save on exit

Lately I've been noticing that when I make changes to settings in SRO, they don't save when I reload the game. I might change my ingame resolution, or key mappings, turn off the game guide, things like that. Then next time I load the game, everything is back to default.

This happens on my computer (Linux) as well as my wife's laptop (Vista). I can't see it as being a permissions problem since it's a default install and SRO is run with administrative permissions in Vista. In Linux, I assume the user you're running wine apps with is considered "Administrator" for that environment (not considered 'root' for the Linux environment of course).

Is anyone else having this problem, or know of a way to fix it?

I'm 100% sure you already know this and it's probably not the case but you actually log out and not crash, right? Crashing was a pain after blocking 43534534 spam bots in a town.

Actually, it happens either way. I can log in, change some key mappings, turn off features like notice window, and all. Then regardless of whether I crash, or log out purposely, the settings don't get saved. They all revert back to their original settings. It doesn't seem to matter if I logout or crash soon after logging in, or if I am playing or stalling for a while and then logout or crash.

try logging out but not closing the game. so hit "restart" and not "close"
