Hey guys.
recently i began screwing around with my graphic cards (nvidia 9800 gt) settings because i want a better performance when playing counter strike 1.6. My friend told me to turn vertical syncing to force off which made my fps increase for 60 to 100, however I experience image tearing. Is there a way to tweak it so everything runs smoothly at 100 fps with no tearing?
btw i also have triple buffering turned on

My pc specs:
Intel[R] Core[TM]2 Quad CPU Q9400 @2.66Hz
2.67 GHz,3.25 GB of RAM
LCD screen running at 75Hz

Im pretty sure my game is tearin because my screen is about 3-4 years old now and its a LCD -,-

You might want to turn VSync back on and play with the card's clock/mem speed if you want higher FPS. I don't know if the 9800 overclocks well but it's worth a shot!

no need, you get better performance by staying at those 60fps. you can't really notice the difference from 60 to 100 fps, it's all the same.

vSync means it doesn't allow the FPS go any higher as the refreshrate of your monitor, for one, the difference between 60 and 100fps is almost none. If you really want to have 100+fps without the image deforming, you'll need a screen that can do 100+ hz at a decent resolution
