My pc is randomly crashing, but it always crashes when i run my anti virus to scan.

When i reboot it says command manager error. (what is this?)

Does anyone have any ideas on what is causing this?

specs? which anti virus? randomly crashing but crashes when using AV? please get some backbone on your story so we can help. looks like you got moved to tech help anyways.

When i run either it crashes 100%, but it also randomly crashes when i'm playing something or
surfing.

when it crashes it comes up with windows has recovered from a serious error then another one pops up saying groupmanager.exe has crashed whatever that is.

well, first we can try this, download CCleaner: http://www.ccleaner.com/ run it and clean up your comp. just get rid of the internet files etc. the windows files that it cleans you should keep so uncheck them. so see what that gets rid off, try your scan again, if you get a problem post again and we'll go from there k?

I have that, it lets me clean it but it doesnt help.

Also when i try to reboot my pc myself it wont do it.

well, i am not the best technical support guy around i have little experience in problems like this, i would recommend seeing a forum with professionals such as http://forums.techguy.org/ like i use when i have problems i cannot solve. but from what your saying here above, they will probably ask you do download hijackthis and run it so do that, sign up at that forum and ask the question, they should help, gl.

congrats you have a virus! it crashes when you run a scan because the virus is programmed to not allow it to be scanned so it will stay there forever. best way to get rid of it

1. reinstall windows and get a better anti virus like comodo
2. hook up the hard drive to a computer with a better anti virus and scan that hard drive (do not boot off of that hard drive or it will infect that computers normal hard drive)

does it crash at the same spot each time? if so do you know where that spot is.. can you look in the log files to find what file it crashed on..

if you know the file that is crashing the pc remove it. if you cant remove it search google with the file name and something should come up.
