nvidia 6200: fullscreen scaling / lcd not detected

like 2 months ago i had this option enabled that didn't let my fullscreen modes scale to my full res (1440x900).
when i went fullscreen the window was just moved to the upper-left corner of the screen and the borders disappeared. sorta like this:

without the borders. this was fullscreen mode.

the thing is, somehow the settings got mixed up and the scaling is now enabled. so the image stretches to fill out all the screen, making the graphics horrible.


i heard there is an option on NVIDIA Control Panel that lets you uncheck the scaling options.
i tried going in nvidia control panel, but the driver doesn't recognize my monitor as a LCD, but as a CRT, so i can't uncheck the scaling options under Display (scaling options are not even shown). any ideas on how do i get my graphic card to detect my lcd, if not, is there any other way to disable fullscreen scaling?

specs:
Windows XP, 1GB RAM, NVIDIA 6200 graphic card (latest driver), LG Flatron L192WS monitor.

already got latest driver installed, and it stills detects my lcd as a crt. blah, i'm starting to think it's the card itself, or a cable problem. since the card is really old and rgb cable i use is from another 15" lcd i had.
weird thing is, the old 15" WAS recognized as a lcd with this same card and an OLDER driver..

try a different style cord like VGA or something if your card has that port

1. do you have a lcd? (i notice it says "Move CRT screen position", it also says that on mine..)
2. does your control panel have scaling options available? if so, please show me a pic.
3. when you said "it works just fine" on your side, do you mean you can unscale the fullscreen as shown in the first pic of my first post? (that's what i want my lcd to do, not the streched out image). if you can, please show me a pic of silkroad running on unscaled-fullscreen.

1. yes 19 inch wide screen LCD tv (its more then just a computer monitor)
2. no i dont think it does then again i never use that menu
3. like this? this is running it in windowed mode btw windows xp

that's normal window mode. i meant another type of fullscreen mode, the game keeps the small res (in that case 1024x768?) but it moves the game to the upper-left corner of the screen, it removes the window-mode's borders and doesn't let your mouse move out of the game.
in other words, you have a huge rectangle as your screen, and only a small rectangle in the upper-left as your game, you can't move your mouse out of the small rectangle cause silkroad is in FULLSCREEN mode.. that's what i want my sro to do..

why? because i can keep fullscreen mode, autopotion works with that as well, and i can see who answers me in msn and stuff, it's very sweet

so your trying to get it so sro is in "full screen" but not truly full screen?

i only of 2 ways

1 move the sro game (not window) to 0,0 (top left) while its in windowed mode
2 wait till i get my autopot working or use a bot and steal its auto pot like alot of people have been doing
