Silkroad Online Forums

I dont know if anyone else has been getting this but recently (past few weeks) ive been getting this error every time i try to start silkroad. I laucnh the program and about five seconds after i click "start" an ERROR box appears and says "Please execute the Silkroad.exe". I find this strange considering i just did exactly what it told me to do right before it told me to do what i just did. Quite frankly, this has really been getting on my nerves because ive done everything in my power and knowledge to fix it but i still havnt won the battle. I reinstalled and reDLed it like a thousand times and completely updated motherboard and graphics card drivers. ive turned off all my firewalls (that im aware of) in hopes that maybe something was being blocked but nothing seems to work.

Any ideas would help, maybe something will spark. Thx for your time. -connor

re-downloaded legend 3 plus right? not the older one. Because they just came out with the legend 3 plus you know.

Yea the new one that came out on the 16th. Ive done taht a few times already. Any other ideas?

Heres something weird that happened the other day. I had just finished downloading my videocard drivers and i tried it right after i was done and it actually worked. I logged in and everything and i was sure i solved the problem. I only played for a few minutes since i thought i fixed it; i would be able to log on again here in a little bit. Those probably were the best few minutes of my life, lol jk.

Whatever I did that night, ive done in the exact same sequence and somehow it doesnt work lol. How gay is this? Ive reinstalled my drivers again and again and done everything i remembered i did that one night and still no dice. Have you guys heard of anybody else getting this? On google, alot of people were getting when they had problems with their bot and stuff but i didnt even really bother to look at those since i dont bot.

Hm.. this is a random guess, best I can give you on the information provided and my knowledge - Could it be DEP causing these issues?
Right-click my computer, properties, advanced tab, under performance click settings. Go to the Date Execution Prevention tab and make sure its set to work for "essential windows programs and services only".
That's how you'd find it for XP, if you're on vista you'll have to google it (assuming vista even has this 'feature')
