SRO - bad performance need help

Post by Polemique »

Hey Guys out there.

I recently bought a new PC: Quadcore, 6 GB Ram, Vista 64...
Some would ask: "which grafic card?" -> Thats true, I am using an onboard chip ;)
its a 8200 with 64 mb ram, and 256 mb shared DDR2 1066 ram.
So far the chip takes easly HL2 and Team Fortress 2 and Battle for middle earth 2.
But silkroad is as laggy as hell. Dont know why, the chip must be able to display SRO in best options. I dont think its the capacity from the chipset, I think it has to do with drivers.
But I allready checked all. The new Nvidia BETA driver isnt installable - dont know why, DirectX 10.0 is installed. Dont know why, it should work without troubles - may you help me?
kind regards
Polemique

I had this problem, even tried using maximum onboard graphics through the BIOS it was still a bad frame rate. Only thing you can do is get a card.

lolz @ the quad core w/ no GFX...

are shadows on? theyre the biggest killer in this game...

make sure the resolution is low too...

i have an 8800GTS and i cant do full shadows w/o epic lag (and i play COD4 maxed at 60+FPS)
