Im going to actually answer the question; the Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 at 2.20ghz for around $100 might work for you (it works for me and its easy to overclock)

If your pc restarts when you open heavy games, you could check:
1. your power supply
2. coooling issues, is your gpu passive or active cooled, how many casefans are working.
3. windows is being a jerk
