Hi, I have a friend who is trying to install SRO but he keeps getting an error saying he needs DirectX 9.0 He downloaded it from the website and it still says the same error. His video card is:
Intel 82810E Graphics Controller Properties
Any help would be appreciated.

im quite certain its your intel integrated video card that is the problem :_

the review description here says it is only suited for business apss despite having 3D capabilities. also it only has 4 meg SDRAM dedicated to it.
SRO's system requirements need as a minimum a Dx9 capable Nvidia FX5700 card. this card is much more powerful than the intel chip above. the 5700 has at least 128 meg of dedicated DDRRAM with a full suite of dx9 dedicated functions.
so.. im afraid your laptop is unlikely to be able to run sro.
its really annoying yeah, but these graphics card standards have really gone bonkers.
