wierd noises

Every time i turn my computer on it's engine thing keeps making a loud noise, like a car starting. The noise stops a couple minutes afte i turn my computer on
can anyone tell me a reason? :(
btw its a windows xp.

Probably when you start it the fans are at 100% but as it boots up
they slow down because they're temperature controlled.

IMO its the processor fans too clogged up with dirt. I'd suggest you take out the processor fan and cooling fins and give them a thorough cleaning. DO NOT wash them through water.

Do read up on how to clean before you execute. Good luck.
