Everytime i try to start silkroad a box pops up that says the server is going under inspections or updates... its been like this for a week straight i downloaded the patch from fileplanet and patched it and it still like this i even did that thing in notepad with hosts that u add 127.0.0.1 localhost
222.111.150.111 gwgt1.joymax.com but that didnt work... i even tried downloading the one that comes with the patch already and when i open it, it just says loading for like a hour then just lags my comp! can some1 plz help!!!! who ever can help me fix this and play SRO i will love them for ever and if they are on the same server as me athens... maybe ill give u some cash :)

Yup, I am getting the exact same problem as you and I even did the exact same things you did to fix this problem but its still not working. All I get is a message saying "The server is undergoing inspections or updates. Connect to http://www.silkroadonline.net for more information." this msg comes up when I click to open silkroad from the icon.Under that message I press Ok then the Silkroad screen comes up which has Options, Guide, Movie & exit but guess what? NO! Start button or messges ontop (News from joymax). :banghead:

So yeah, Iv tried all sorts of stuff but I still cant get it to work. It used to work fine for me when I used to play long time ago but now its just messed up. :x

yea dude i know this has gotten me so agrivated cuz i could have gotten so many lvls this week but i didnt cuz my sro dont work!!! i mean doesnt anyone know how to fix this joymax messed up on this euro thing man and its getting me pissed

dont get me wrong i think joymax owns but this thing with silkroad not workin is getting me pissed... and hey how do u get that thing that says the server u play on under ur avatar?

Oh you go to your profile and under Location you write the name of the server you play in.

There are other threads on this subject but try turn every firewall OFF (u have built in XP firewall? turn it off) or put SRO in the exception list. You only get that error if SRO cant connect with their servers. Grant SRO access to ur internetz in every possible way and mess around with the hosts file and it will work 8)

heh .. yeah i know the problem. i and my internet provider sent mails to Korea telecom.. because of them u and i and we...can`t play.. they block a lot of ip classes ;)... maybe after the general inspection.. it will work... after tomorrow`s inspection.. i hope so.. :wink:
