need help xp blocks files

ok i want a friend of me to play sro, but when he downloads game and install etc, the xp blocks everyfile, i even tried sending him a rar with some txt file init and it blocked it, any idea what he can do? he has xp pro

and he told me he dont use any firewall or that stuff, its the xp that blocks

Windows XP has a built in firewall that may be blocking it. Have him try this.

start>run>services.msc>disable windows firewall / ICS

If that doesnt work let me know

Well Files being blocked on MSN is probably just the way he has his file transfer protocols setup for MSN. That can be fixed by going to the options and setting it to allow transfers of any file type.

As for installing SRO can you please tell me exactly what error he is getting.
