Do you already have to have SRO installed to have euro work?

I just got this new laptop today... and I didnt already have the original SRO installed on it. I dl'ed the SRO europe client, but when I go to run it it says that the "client file is damaged" and to "please reinstall the client". Does this mean that what I just dl'ed is the damaged file, or that I already need to have the original SRO on my computer? [In which case, I need to DL that first, but i dont see why the euro client wouldnt just install both things]

HELP APPRECIATED! ^_^

The answer is no, you don't need the old client. In fact, the Europe client will uninstall the old client (if you have it), and install/overwrites the silkroad program folder. My speculation is that the file you've downloaded is corrupted, you have to re-download it again.
