No background

I load up silkroad and the video that would normally display behind while I enter my user/pass does not show... and
the dock where my characters are is not there..they just stand in mid air..
once in the game i see no characters no background only menu's.

I am running windows xp (not xp64)
Nvidea Gforce 8800 GTS
AMD Athlon 64x Dual core processor 4800+

I have downloaded the new sro 114 version tried all your drivers and directx available on this site

all xp64 drivers say i'm not running xp64 which is right..
trying to update drivers from microsoft homepage.. no new drivers available
running xp geforce drivers say setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. setup will now exit
