How to play Silkroad on Vista

I've been trying to download Silkroad on my new Windows Vista computer for a while. Every time I try to download it, it either dowloads then freezes when I log on to my character or it just won't download at all.

My computer is a HP Pavillion a6010n PC that has the following:
1. Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E4300 Intel Viiv Technology.
2. Windows Vista Home Premium
3. 1024 System Memory
4. 320 GB harddrive.
PLEASE HELP ME :banghead:

I am currently lvl 23 playing on a friend's computer.

Right click on Silkroad on the desktop > Compability > Put it on WinXP > Run Silkroad, happy playing.

well I guess not

I get to the Char select screen and then everything freezes.
Maybe it's Nprotect or DirectX10 I dunno
I'm not a computer geek

Try to run it as Administator, would that make a differentce?
