BLACK SCREEN!!!

Hello when i install silkroad and update it i get the black screen and i can see the cursor and i hear the sound
my computer is Toshiba Satellite A70 and my graphics Driver/Card is ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP i think please help i want to play so badly :banghead:

Try upgrading graphics driver.

i tried to but, then when i tried to open silkroad it said i needed DirectX SDK so i got DX then i open to the start screen on silkroad click start, then game guard starts up then the silkroad banner and it freezes

So does that mean you've updated your graphics driver? You will probably need to download the new driver, uninstall your current driver, reboot, install your new driver, and then reboot again. You also do not need the DirectX SDK, that is for developers only. Just make sure that you have the latest DirectX 9.0c End-User Runtime.

saying you need the DirectX SDK is usually a symptom that your graphics card isn't fully compatible with Directx9. SRO is real sensitive to that so I'd upgrade your card (except I believe that model is a laptop card so nm if you got a laptop

)

I have a problem same as you and my laptop's vga chipset is ATI 9000 IGP too. Hix, i think this vga chipset cann't play Sro

i play silkroad like 7 months ago on this very same laptop so it cant be with the chip

Things break. Buy a new laptop or some how take out the video card and put in a new one.
