I don't know, I don't have Vista.
Some people have indeed problems with playing certain games on Vista, but in some cases they can solve the problem by right clicking the exe file, then Run as Administrator.
However, I don't know if it works for SRO.

There supposedly is support, however it most likely will play slower than on XP. As RuYi said, you supposedly can get it to work by right clicking and Run as Administrator.

I have Vista and I had to update my drivers to the latest (beta) drivers...of course, I have the geforce 8800 GTX card. Also, I get these random occurances of the screen going black for a second, then the game coming back up, but super slow..then, the screen will go black...it repeats that until I exit the game and restart the computer. I get a message about the driver failing to respond and then restarting. It works again after I restart.

umm...cuz nothing runs on Vista? lol
But they apparently applied a Vista compatible patch that makes it run at all. All directx 9 games run way slower on Vista though cuz anything under Directx 10 is just about emulated which in case you don't know, it's crazy slow to do that. Just plain don't get Vista, it sucks.
