Runtime error AFTER CHOOSING CHARACTER

So I see that a lot of people get this error starting the game. This is not the problem here. Game works fine but when my firend chooses his character and clicks start the game attempts to load you see south jangan start to render then the error pops up and he can't do anything but click ok and watch the game crash.

He can load up a different account with no problem.

I have the same problem if I try his account.

So, not a driver issue. Not a Visuall yadda yadda library.
His character is broken at the moment.

Of course he is very upset. I hope someone may have some insight. All I could tell him is to chill out and send lots of bug reports to joymax with the same title (thanks someone).

Any advice?

I just started getting something like this too. I can load up the game, and if I choose my main char it does this suddenly. But if I choose an alt char on the same account it runs fine. I've tried changing graphics options as the second char but no help. I've done the driver thing and nothing. I've done every update listed for this problem but no help. I really want my main char back.

I was actually playing on this account just a bit ago, was fine. Did some PvP with a cape, and fine. I put the cape back in storage and started off to DW and it locked up south of Jangan, and every time I load up that char it throws the error and exits. This is NOT a driver issue, it is something in the game.

The bug report feature on their website isn't working for me or my friend. Is it working for anyone?

Hate to say it but I'm glad someone else has this same problem. At lest we have each other lol, we must get past this!

Well, here's the update. I was using an alt char, and started talking to another friend on Redsea. He reports that several of HIS friends are having the same problem, and we all were in South Jangan when it started. I'm installing that DX SDK now to see if that fixes it. But I'm thinking there's somethign in south Jang causing the problem on Redsea.

DX SDK install didn't fix it. There HAS to be something wrong in south Jangan on RedSea.

Can anyone get to the bug report page to report this? It doesn't do anything for me here.

I am free now. Thanks to phresh, who suggested it was possible to escape the black hole area, when I loaded that char I just kept clicking to make him run and I managed to get out of the area. So if you are stuck just try continuously clicking away from that spot and hopefully you can also escape.

i was huntering from tiger mountain and i went to jangan and i got dc for no reason and i tried log in for 30 times and try clicking to run doesnt work i tried the phantom doesnt work either so anyone can fix this problem ill give you 1m xD

Everyone I know who got this was able to get past it by repeatedly trying. Pretty quirky nonetheless.
In RedSea we actually had some douchebag trying to lure people into the area that caused this.. I wonder if it was just on our server.
