Post by SomeoneHLPme »

I read the sticky at the top of this forum so jus hear me out plz. Ive installed and reinstalled this game at least 8 times. Ive cheked and rechecked all my system specs. I even uninstalled my XP Service Pack 2, just for good measure. But everytime i try to start SRO, it goes just pass the gameguard init. and restarts my cpu. Maybe it is gameguard, im not sure. Everytime i install, an error message comes up during the gameguard setup saying it cant be authenticated and asks me to reboot. I have. several times. Ive downloaded drivers, chipsets, and patches. Nothing is working. I kno my system can run silkroad, because it has before. I jus dont know why its not
Fustratedw. ANY help will b appreciated. Sorry for the long post.working nojavascript:emoticon(':banghead:')

These are instructions that you probably haven't tried.

1) Right click My Computer, go to Properties. Go to the Advanced tab, and under "Startup and Recovery", click on Settings.
2) Uncheck Automatically Restart under "System failure".

Backup Registry:
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
3. Make sure My Computer is selected.
4. On the File menu, click Export.
5. In the Save in box, select a location where you want to save the Registration Entries (.reg) file, type a file name in the File name box, and then click Save.

Delete GameGuard keys:
Hit CTRL + F and then search for Gameguard and NprotectGameGuard.
Delete any of these keys that show up.
Download and run nProtectRemover.exe from http://members.cox.net/ddchen
Reinstall from http://update.nprotect.net/gameguard/in ... eGuard.exe.

Modify HOSTS:
Open HOSTS File with notepad: (C\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts)

Delete everything and change it to:
127.0.0.1 localhost
121.128.133.26 gwgt1.joymax.com
121.128.133.26 gwgt1.joymax.co.kr
64.152.34.142 joymaxnpro.nefficient.com

Router/Firewall Configuration:
Allow these two address through firewall/router:
121.128.133.26 gwgt1.joymax.com
121.128.133.26 gwgt1.joymax.co.kr
64.152.34.142 joymaxnpro.nefficient.com
