Minor Sound Problem

From the subject heading, you can tell that my problem isn't even that big. Even so, it's annoying when it happens and I'd like to know if I can fix it or not. When I first installed SilkRoad and started killing the enemies around Jangan, I noticed that no sound was made when my weapon made contact with the enemy. Strange, I thought, but my mentality at the time told me that it was intentional. However, when I went to YouTube and watched a video about SilkRoad, I noticed that in the video, there was sound after the weapon hit. Everything else with the game is fine (though I need to play on substantially low graphics), but as I said, I'd like to know if I could fix this problem.
