Have to admit, I don't really understand why you would. But then, my download was going at 700 kb/s when I first got the client from the official site. Quickest 500 megs evar.
LOL

Add the fact that torrents are painfully slow to download, and usually a pain to install, I reallly don't see the point in this.

Hey man, I'm not the one who made the torrent. I just share the link.

Some ISP limited users download bandwidth. And torrent is their choice.

I was downloading this at 400kbps months ago, but now there only has 1-3 seeders.

torrents, slow? normally i can get a torrent in less than half the time as i would downloading it from http server, given that there are at least 20ish seeds. now, if it's not a well seeded thing, then.... yea, painfully slow. also, the auto-resume function of most torrent clients seem better to me than those used by most browsers, which would be useful for anyone on a connection that cuts out often, especially 56k.

i also like torrents. my net connection here is unstable at best, and it's nice to be able to reliably restart downloads.

I like torrents as well, but with the abuse of keyloggers and trojans with SRO. I would not trust anything other than the official site.

Since you are downloading an installer there is the chance someone has snuck somethingin.
