I have a blank screen

I would REALLY like some help if anyone has this problem,
I have the game all up to date and I can start the game but when the screen goes black just befor the log in screen it stays black but i can hear the music playing. :?:

Can anyone help me please I really want to play the event.

id say driver problem.... were u able to play it before ?

I have the exact same problem, I tried to redownload the game for about 3 times now and I've just let the game run for 10-15 min. without success. I have no idea what the problem is and it just leaves me frustrated and confused :banghead:

I started getting the same thing right after that big patch came out during the Compensation Event somewhere
around the end of September/first of October time frame. I have an older Toshiba laptop with an ATI Mobility
Radeon 9000. I've submitted reports to SilkRoad but no feedback. I've tried reinstalling Windows and starting
from scratch, but still the black screen without sound was as far as I could get. Oh well...been bugging the
shit out of my friends to play on their computers. Luckily they're not as into the game as I am.
